Thomas M. Lee

CEO, Vulcan Inc.


Thomas M. (Tommy) Lee has been employed by Vulcan, Inc., an aluminum manufacturing and fabricating company in Foley, Alabama since 1985. His progression through the company began as a Sales Manager, next to General Manager of the aluminum fabricating facility, then to Vice President over all aluminum production. He was promoted to President on January 1, 2012 and added the title of CEO on January 1, 2013. Prior to joining Vulcan, Tommy was employed by Alabama Power Company for eight years as a Commercial Sales Engineer.


Tommy moved with his family from Birmingham to Foley in 1968 and has called South Alabama home for almost 50 years. He graduated from Foley High School in 1974 and received his B.S. Degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University in 1978. He and his wife, Sandra, live in Gulf Shores and together they have 3 children: David 33, Anna 30 and Marcus 26.


Tommy has been active in local community, state and national levels since graduating from college. He is a former Chairman of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and a past winner of the Walton M. Vines Free Enterprise Person of the Year. He is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Business Council of Alabama. He is the Chairman of the ATN State Advisory Council and just completed a three year term on the NIST MEP National Advisory Board for small and medium manufactureres. He was a member of Class XVIII of Leadership Alabama and has been president of several civic, local school and professional organizations. He is also active in his church, St. Andrew by the Sea, A Community Church.


For fun, Tommy enjoys cheering for his beloved Auburn Tigers, playing golf, exploring new travel destinations, and spending time with his family.
