CPA and Tax Professional Resources

With the financial uncertainty created by the COVID-19 crisis, many donors who want to support AOSF are not ready to make a tax-credit reservation and donation. Because of the need to provide certainty to students, families and schools, AOSF has created a pledge form so tax-credit donors can let us know they plan to reserve tax-credits and donate at a later date in 2020. Please click on the pledge button if you or your client are not ready to reserve tax credits but plan to do so later this year.

Your clients can take advantage of donating dollar-for-dollar tax credits that are available to Alabama taxpayers who wish to support low-income children in our state. These credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  2019 IRS guidance for pass-through entities means additional federal tax benefits.  Read the memos below or join us for a virtual lunch and learn.

Individuals and businesses may donate up to one half of their annual Alabama income tax liability and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit. Individual donations are capped at $50,000.
